Letter From Our Founders
Dear Friends,
Thank you for your interest in the Bayat Foundation. Whether you are a student learning more about Afghanistan or a donor engaged in helping to rebuild our war-torn country, we are grateful for your interest and support.
Despite the devastation caused by 30 years of war and conflict, and a series of unfortunate natural disasters, the Afghan people are creative, resilient, and hopeful, and the country is rich in history, culture and natural resources.
Building on this spirit and potential, there’s much we can accomplish by working together with friends like yourselves to bring down the high rates of illiteracy, and reduce morbidity and mortality for women and children during childbirth. With your generous support, we can continue to help feed and clothe the neediest Afghans, including orphans, widows and the disabled, and help build essential infrastructure. Additionally it is possible to make a difference in the lives of the youth by mentoring them or providing grants to empower female entrepreneurs.
Since launching the Bayat Foundation in 2006 we have been proud to contribute to progress in increasing the quality of life and livelihoods for the people of Afghanistan, by working on a variety of initiatives throughout the country including in the most remote regions.
While we have contacts and resources throughout the country to facilitate the implementation of our programs and initiatives, we cannot do it alone. Please help us by donating to the Bayat Foundation. 100% of every dollar received is applied to implementing the programs that help the men, women, widows, youth, orphans, disabled, and displaced of Afghanistan take a step forward.
Together we can make a difference.
Sincerely,
Dr. Ehsanollah Bayat, Chairman
Mrs. Fatema Laya Bayat, Executive Director
