VOLUNTEER
The Bayat Foundation is fortunate to have a number of passionate and generous volunteers that we can count on to help support our myriad of events and initiatives. Some of these activities may take place in an area near you or could include a wider-scale campaign that aims to touch as many people as possible. Our work would not be possible without the kind generosity of our committed volunteers who share our passion for nourishing and improving the lives of Afghans.
If you share our passion and commitment, please let us know – it’s easy to become a volunteer! Simply e-mail your full name, city & state, phone number, a little about your interest in Afghanistan, and any ideas/preferences on how you would like to contribute (so we can get to know you better) to info@bayatfoundation.org. We will be in touch about the many ways we can make a difference together!
FUNDRAISE
There are many ways to help us raise funds to help support our projects that nourish the lives of Afghans! We have suggested a few options below, but welcome additional ideas as well. If you would like to discuss one of the options below, or have an idea that is not listed that you would like to explore, please call us at 904-686-1470 or e-mail campaigns@bayatfoundation.org.
- Make a Donation. Click here to make a donation with your credit card. If you want to pay through your checking account via PayPal, please click here.
- Workplace Matching. Many companies match charitable donations made by their employees for specific causes. If your organization has such a program and chose to help Afghans in need, our projects could reach even more people.
- Honorary Donations. Pay a tribute or honor someone in your life by making a donation in their name to the Bayat Foundation. Such donations can recognize birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions or can serve as a memorial to a loved one no longer here. When doing this, please include the recipient’s e-mail or physical address, and we will let them know that you were thinking of them and made a donation in their name. Amounts can remain anonymous if requested.
- Spread the Word. Share Bayat Foundation's important work with friends and family or on social media, and let others know how easy it is for anyone interested to help, and that 100% of every donation goes to projects in Afghanistan.
- Look Around. Do you know of a business that understands the needs of at-risk Afghans? If so, email us the company’s name and phone number at campaigns@bayatfoundation.org and we will reach out to them to see if they can join us in improving the lives of needy Afghans or help us communicate our message of hope to more people. We can send a counter-top display with pre-addressed envelopes included so that other people visiting the business can take with them to learn more or donate.
SPONSOR A WATER WELL
Access to clean water in Afghanistan is scarce and illnesses caused by dirty water are common. This leads to unnecessary suffering or even worse, death. To alleviate this, the Bayat Foundation has established a program to dig wells in areas where clean water was not previously available. With each well that is placed in a new neighborhood, more Afghans get the opportunity to have a resource to safe and clean drinking water. FAMILY SPONSORSHIP
For $65 a month, your sponsorship will help to feed an impoverished family left without a breadwinner. These families are often crippled by a disabled head of the household or widowed mothers with young children. Providing these families with the means to collect basic necessities such as rice, wheat, oil and flour, will allow the family to survive and, God willing, their children to thrive.
All families registered into the program undergo an extensive evaluation process. Once you make the decision to commit to a family, our team at the Bayat Foundation will provide you with your sponsored family’s biography. Through your sponsorship, we will provide you with feedback from your family and other media to see, firsthand, how your contribution is making a difference. 100% of your monthly donation will be gifted to your sponsored family.
