Foundation Will Provide Full Scholarships To Students Studying Information Technology and Computer Science
Kabul, Afghanistan—April 29, 2019—The Bayat Foundation (www.bayatfoundation.org), Afghanistan’s largest, private, non-profit Health, Education and Social Development Organization, demonstrated its strong and enduring commitment to increasing educational opportunities for Afghan youth, by launching The Bayat Scholars Program at The American University of Afghanistan (AUAF).
The mission of the Bayat Scholars Program is to build a new generation of highly skilled and exceptional Afghan IT professionals, who will lead Afghanistan’s technological innovation and entrepreneurship in the years ahead.
Each year, the Bayat Scholars Program will award fifteen scholarships, to qualified candidates who have successfully completed the application process, enabling prospective undergraduates to attain a Bachelors of Information Communication Technology degree, or a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the American University of Afghanistan.
Candidates for the Bayat Scholars Program must be Afghan citizens, who have earned their high school diploma. Program candidates should also have a strong academic record, possess a working knowledge of the English language and commit themselves to utilizing their education to develop a better future for Afghanistan.
