On October 12, 2012, Hon. Ehsan and Fatema ‘Laya’ Bayat will host the first annual Bayat Foundation benefit dinner at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The event, which will include a reception, dinner, and silent auction, will raise funds for medical equipment and supplies that are crucial in saving the lives of Afghans who are treated at one of the Bayat Foundation’s mobile clinics or nine hospitals located throughout Afghanistan. Well over half a million Afghans have already been treated by Bayat Foundation hospitals- a number that will continue to increase as the Bayats continue to strive to rebuild Afghanistan and nourish the lives of Afghans.

Attending the event will be many long-time supporters of the Bayats and their work in Afghanistan, including Honorary Chairs Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, Mrs. Sultana Hakimi, Caroline Hudson Firestone of the New Hudson Foundation, Dr. Hosai Hesham, and Heidi Kuhn of Roots of Peace.
