The Bayat Foundation has inaugurated a solar-powered deep well at the Islam Qala border crossing in Herat, providing thousands of returning Afghan migrants with clean drinking water. The 80-meter well was completed in under a month to address urgent water shortages and ease the hardships faced by returnees. Local authorities and returnees welcomed the initiative, praising it as a vital step in humanitarian support and community development.
Mazar-e Sharif – Nasaji Area Water Well
Bayat Foundation completed a 120mwater well for the in the Nasaji area of Mazar-e Sharif. This well was built on behalf Mr. Ahmad Rahin. The well is estimated to provide approximately 500 families with clean water.
Kunduz 14 Masoom Masjid Water Well
Bayat Foundation completed a 38m water well for the 14 Masoom Masjid in Kunduz Province. This well was built on behalf Mr. Ahmad Rahin. The well is estimated to provide approximately 600 families with clean water.
Dasht-e Barchi Water Well
Bayat Foundation completed a 100m water well for the families in Dasht-e Barchi. This well was built on behalf of a generous donor in honor of the Pagani Boys. The well is estimated to provide approximately 1,200 families with clean water.
6th District Mosque Water Well
Bayat Foundation completed a 100m water well for the residents in the 6th District of Kabul. This well was built on behalf of a generous donor in memory of Jawid and Zaki Sharifi. The well is estimated to provide approximately 400 families with clean water.
Tahye Maskan Kindergarten Water Well
Bayat Foundation completed a 100m water well for the staff and students attending Tahye Maskan Kindergarten. This well was built on behalf of a generous donor in honor of Basir and Zakia Kabir. The well is estimated to provide approximately 370 students with clean water.
