Families in Kabul on Saturday received much needed food aid from Bayat Foundation as part of the organization’s annual Ramadan campaign.

Bayat officials said aid will also be distributed to families in other provinces in the country before the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
On Thursday, dozens of needy families in Bamiyan province also received aid packages.
The packages includes rice, flour and oil.
Bayat Foundation officials meanwhile said that recipients of the aid are identified following a strict assessment process and only those in need benefit.
Kabul recipients welcomed the assistance, and many said they are unable to afford food due to the economic hardships in the country.
Bamiyan residents also welcomed the initiative and thanked the foundation for their much-needed assistance last week.
“As part of the Bayat Foundation’s ongoing assistance, today we are distributing Ramadan aid packages in Bamiyan province. These packages contain flour, rice, and oil,” said Sayed Hakim, a representative of the Bayat Foundation in Bamiyan.
“Thanks to the Bayat Foundation for considering help for people like us,” said one grateful recipient, while another added: “Thank you to the Bayat Foundation for helping us, and we hope that in the future, more aid will be provided to the poor people of Bamiyan.”
In addition to supporting public welfare projects, healthcare, and those affected by natural disasters, the Bayat Foundation has been providing food and non-food aid to thousands of needy families in Kabul and provinces of Afghanistan during Ramadan for nearly two decades.
