Afghanistan\u2019s Bayat Foundation has renovated and repainted the children\u2019s ward at the Herat Regional Hospital, which had been in need of repair.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n
In a recent ceremony, Bayat Foundation officially inaugurated the Bayat-MATTER Maternity and Neonatal Hospital. The foundation anticipates drastically reducing infant and maternal mortality rates with the availability of this state-of-the-art facility. To date, approximately three million mothers and children have been treated at hospitals built and refurbished by the foundation across the country. The new hospital comprises of four floors that cover an area of 3,200 square meters and is equipped with modern medical equipment.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n

Washing Machine and supplies, clothing items, undergarments, shoes, hygiene items, first-aid supplies, kitchen supplies, building necessities and carpets were amongst only a few of the items Bayat Foundation donated to Khwaja Abdullah Ansari Girls and Boys Orphanage.These donated items will provide these children the basic necessities to complete their living space and to maintain proper hygiene.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n
Bayat Foundation donated much needed food items – including flour, rice, oil, meat, potato, onion, peas, lentils, breakfast and cooking food items – to the Herat Disability Center.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n
More Mothers\u2019 Kits were distributed by Bayat Foundation to new mother’s in the Deh Sabz district of Kabul. The Mothers\u2019 Kits included items beneficial to mothers with newborn children \u2013 such as, water wipes,\u00a0 stretch mark lotion, diapers, body lotion, breastmilk storage bags, baby shampoo, baby clothes detergent, maternal pads, a pacifier, and a milk bottle.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n
Bayat Foundation has donated a total of 5,850 Mothers’ Kits to several hospitals in Kabul, Faryab, Daikondi, Helmand, Mazar-e-Sharif, Jalalabad, and Khost.
